The family is the most important institution on the earth. It
was important when Adam and Eve left the Garden of Eden, it is important today.
The family is where we learn to love others unconditionally. It is where we are
able to find refuge from a world of instant gratification, filth, and sleaze.
The family is a sanctuary where we find protection from the evil of Satan and
his minions. As we focus our families and homes on Christ we are able to create
a place of peace and love that brings the family closer together making it the
institution that Heavenly Father always planned for it to be. KW
"In a world of turmoil and uncertainty, it is more important than ever to make our families the center of our lives and the top of our priorities. Families lie at the center of our Heavenly Father’s plan."
“The family is at the heart of Heavenly Father’s plan
because we are all part of His family and because mortality is our opportunity
to form our own families and to assume the role of parents. It is within our
families that we learn unconditional love, which can come to us and draw us
very close to God’s love. It is within families that values are taught and
character is built. Father and mother are callings from which we will never be
released, and there is no more important stewardship than the responsibility we
have for God’s spirit children who come into our families."

“Exaltation is a family matter, not possible outside the everlasting covenant of marriage, which makes possible the perpetuation of glorious family relationships."
~Elder Dallin H. Oaks, "Weightier Matters" BYU Devotional Address 2/1999
"We will not always be safe from the adversary's influence, even within our own homes. We need to protect our nestlings. ... We live in a very dangerous world that threatens those things that are most spiritual. The family, the fundamental organization in time and eternity, is under attack from forces seen and unseen. The adversary is about. His objective is to cause injury. If he can weaken and destroy the family, he will have succeeded."
~President Boyd K. Packer, "These Things I Know" General Conference 4/2013
“The foundation for kindness and civility begins in our homes. It is not surprising that our public discourse has declined in equal measure with the breakdown of the family. The family is the foundation for love and for maintaining spirituality. The family promotes an atmosphere where religious observance can flourish. There is indeed ‘beauty all around when there’s love at home.’”

“… The children of God cannot be exalted as single
individuals. Neither a man nor a woman can be exalted in the celestial kingdom
unless both unite in the unselfishness of the everlasting covenant of marriage
and unless both choose to keep the commandments and honor the covenants of that
united state."

“As you center you home on the Savior, it will naturally become a refuge not only to your own family but also to friends who live in more difficult circumstances.”

"Family time is sacred time and should be protected and respected. We urge our members to show devotion to their families."

“It is important for parents to teach children to recognize how their actions affect each individual who lives in the home. Children who are made to feel accountable for their actions, whether righteous or otherwise, grow to become trustworthy citizens in the kingdom of God.”
~Elder Richard G. Scott, "For Peace at Home" General Conference 4/2013
"The purpose of mortal families is to bring children into the world, to teach them what is right, and to prepare all family members for exaltation in eternal family relationships."

“… Men and women have different but equally valued roles.
Just as a woman cannot conceive a child without a man, so a man cannot fully
exercise the power of the priesthood to establish an eternal family without a
woman."

“Be certain that every decision you make, whether temporal or spiritual, is conditioned on what the Savior would have you do. When He is the center of you home, there is peace and serenity. There is a spirit of assurance that pervades the home, and it is felt by all who dwell there.”
