Obtaining a body of flesh and blood is only a fraction of
what we have come to earth to acquire. Our lives are so full of opportunities
to learn. We learn how to love, we learn how to weep with those who mourn, and
we learn how to become true friends. Through our experiences, we are given
unique opportunities to come closer to our Savior in prayer, repentance, and in
trusting in His plan of happiness. As we learn more about Jesus Christ and
Heavenly Father through the scriptures as well as the prophets and apostles, we
learn more about our divine potential as children of God. KW
“By following Christ we know where we came from before we were born, we know our purpose for being here on the earth, and we know where we will go when we leave this earth life."
~Elder M. Russell Ballard, "Engaging Without Being Defensive" BYU Commencement Address 8/2009
“Be a true friend.”
~Elder Richard G. Scott, "For Peace at Home" General Conference 4/2013
"I cannot promise an end to your adversity in this life. I cannot assure you that your trials will seem to you to be only for a moment. One of the characteristics of trials in life is that they seem to make clocks slow down and then appear almost to stop.
"There are reasons for that. Knowing those reasons may not give much comfort, but it can give you a feeling of patience. Those reasons come from this one fact: in Their perfect love for you, Heavenly Father and the Savior want you fitted to be with Them to live in families forever. Only those washed perfectly clean through the Atonement of Jesus Christ can be there."
~President Henry B. Eyring "Mountains to Climb" 5/2012
"Look for the happiness your Father in Heaven has prepared for you in every step of your journey. Happiness is the destination, but it’s also the path. ‘Peace in this world, and eternal life in the world to come’ is what He promises. That is why He commands us to ‘be of good cheer.’"
~President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, "Your Wonderful Journey Home" Young
Women Broadcast 3/2013
“This mortal life is a proving ground. How well you meet its challenges determines how strong you character will be. Your faith in Jesus Christ and his teaching fortifies you character.”

“We live at a time in the world’s history when there are many difficult challenges but also great opportunities and reasons for rejoicing. There are, of course, those times when we experience disappointments, heartaches, and even tragedies in our lives. However, if we will put our trust in the Lord, He will help us through our difficulties, whatever they may be. The Psalmist provided this assurance: ‘Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.’”

“We came into this life to acquire a physical body. We may fall in love and be married. We may have children and experience the trials of mortal life."

"Perhaps it is true that we are weak. Perhaps we are not wise or mighty. But when God works through us, no one and nothing can stand against us."

“[Jesus Christ] invites all of us who are heavy laden to
come unto Him, to learn of Him, to follow Him, and thus to find rest to our
souls."
~Elder Dallin H. Oaks, "Followers of Christ" General Conference 4/201
"We are under covenant both to lift up those in need and to be witnesses of the Savior as long as we live. We will be able to do it without fail only as we feel love for the Savior and His love for us. As we are faithful to the promises we have made we will feel our love for Him. It will increase because we will feel His power and his drawing near to us in His service."

"Your task is to share your beliefs and to not be
afraid. Be a friend to all, but never compromise your standards. Stand true to
your convictions and faith. Stand tall, because you are a daughter of God, and
He stand with you!”
